Thermoformed

Thermoformed

Thermoforming means a hot molding technique for plastic materials, capable of transforming sheets or films into articles of various shapes and sizes.

The materials that can be used are different, including different types of PST, ABS, PC, PVC, PMMA, PET G, PET, PST in rolls, Polypropylene, PE.

In a first phase, the sheet of plastic material is brought to a temperature such that the material softens and becomes malleable, after which it is made to adhere to the mold using strong pressure. By thermoforming plastic it is possible to obtain articles - thermoformed - in standard formats such as tubs, trays, containers, buckets and saucers.

High blade dies are used to cut the external perimeter of this type of packaging.
